Jeri Campbell started her vocation while living in the Hudson Valley’s Westchester County, New York. She has worked at Julius Lowy Frame and Restoring Company (then in NYC), with Dennis Fox Fine Art Restoration & Installation, and with Michele S. Kay Fine Paintings Conservation and Restoration. She studied art restoration and conservation in Florence, Italy at the Instituto per l’arte e il restauro in Palazzo Spinelli. With a history of over 20 years in the field, an art history background, knowledge of old-world restoration techniques and materials, and a painter in her own right, she is highly qualified to treat a range of paintings. Ms. Campbell currently resides and works in Ridgefield, CT.
Each artwork is carefully examined to assess the current condition, any possible previous interventions, and then a treatment is determined which will preserve the structural integrity and restore the visual appearance of the painting. The approach is as minimal as possible while assuring the stability and aesthetic value of each artwork. Throughout treatment the painting is documented with images and a report created. Clients are provided with the report to maintain as part of the history of the artwork.
Ms. Campbell is a member of the American Institute for Conservation and adheres to their Code of Ethics.
